Text Box: I joined the HCC faculty in the Fall of 2007 in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) Division.  My primary responsibilities include teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, and The Human Body in Health and Disease.  I sometimes also teach Medical Terminology and Ethics for the Nursing and Allied Health Division as well.
I obtained my B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education with a Physical Fitness Specialist concentration from West Chester University.  Throughout the years I have served as a personal trainer and strength coach in various gyms.  In 1995 I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with my D.C. degree (Doctor of Chiropractic).  I maintained a family chiropractic practice for 12 years focusing primarily on pediatric and maternal wellness although I never turned anyone away who came in for care.  My primary specialty was in dealing with the upper cervical spine and how it relates to visceral, organic disease.  I have retired from active practice but I still do occasional consultation work as my schedule permits.
As a chiropractic student I served as a graduate teaching assistant in the human cadaver lab which gave me my first exposure to teaching.  I always knew I wanted to teach so in 2001 I began teaching A&P part-time as an adjunct instructor at several colleges in and around the Lehigh Valley in PA.  I absolutely love seeing the light come on in my student's eyes when they grasp the innate abilities of the human machine and I am very excited to be part of the HCC team as I strive to provide a positive learning experience for all of my students.
I currently reside in Rising Sun with my wife and my bulldog, Helen.  I have two boys in high school and a daughter in middle school who all stay involved in a lot of extracurricular activities so in my spare time I try to get to as many of their functions as possible.  My office is located in Aberdeen Hall (Room 239) and I encourage all of you to drop by and say 'hi' sometime.  If I am not in my office I am often in the A205 where the A&P laboratories are found.  I look forward to seeing you around campus.
