As a physical therapy technician you will work under the supervision of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants to help provide the best possible therapy for the patient.
As a part of the rehabilitation team, you will move patients to and from treatment areas, assist patients with their treatment plans and exercise programs, maintain a clean and organized work environment, perform routine clerical duties, order supplies, answer the phone, and fill out paper work including insurance.
According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the 2014 median pay for a Physical Therapy Technician was $26,660 per year. Employment is expected to grow 40% from 2014-2024, faster than the national average.
