Physical Therapy

As a physical therapy technician you will work under the supervision of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants to help provide the best possible therapy for the patient.

As a part of the rehabilitation team, you will move patients to and from treatment areas, assist patients with their treatment plans and exercise programs, maintain a clean and organized work environment, perform routine clerical duties, order supplies, answer the phone, and fill out paper work including insurance.

Prerequisite Courses:

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED*
  • Reading (ACR) and Math (ACA) Assessments**
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • HIPAA Compliance* (available through ed2go)
  • Healthcare Provider CPR
  • Computer Basics for Allied Health

Capstone Courses:

  • Become a Physical Therapy Aide (available through ed2go)
  • Physical Therapy Technician Externship
