What are the prerequisites for this program?

  • A high school diploma or GED*
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • HIPAA, Confidentiality, & Ethics (HIPA)**
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology (HAP)**
  • Medical Terminology (MTER)**
  • Math for Healthcare Careers (ACEA)**

*If you do not have a GED or high school diploma, please contact Adult Literacy at 443-412-2152.

**If you are comfortable with testing out of courses indicated with a double asterisk above, contact the Test Center at 443-412-2352.

 

The courses below for certification cannot be tested out of and must be taken in order:

  • EMT-B Modules
  • EMT-I Modules
  • EMT-P Modules

What textbooks are needed for the program?

All textbooks for Continuing Education & Training classes are available in the College Store located in the Student Center.
