EKG Technician

Completing our EKG Training series will prepare you for National Certification as an EKG Technician.

EKG Technicians perform EKGs to monitor and record electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. Many work in hospital settings, while others work in physicians' offices and diagnostic laboratories. You will learn basic cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, disease processes, patient preparation, arrhythmia identification, common pharmacological agents, legal considerations, and stress testing. Learn the function and use of the EKG machine and the Holter monitor, lead placement, and infection control.


  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED*
  • Reading (ACR) and Math (ACA) Assessments**
  • Healthcare Provider CPR
