Certificate to Career

Learn new skills and prepare for employment with a HOT certificate from Harford Community College.

  • Are you between the ages of 18 and 24?
  • Are you interested in earning more money with a rewarding career? 
  • Would you like short-term training leading to a High-Demand Occupational Training (HOT) certificate and employment in healthcare, trades, services, or information technology? 
  • Are you interested in improving your reading, writing, math, and study skills?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Certificate to Career in One Year program may be right for you.

To be eligible for services, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a youth between the ages of 18 and 24 
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by WIOA Title I 
  • Require assistance with improving reading, writing, and math skills 
  • Meet HOT certificate program requirements
