This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install and configure Microsoft Windows 2003 Professional on stand-alone and client computers that are part of a workgroup or domain. Prerequisite: Basic Networking experience, strong background in Windows 2003 or .XP, or comparable experience. Textbook required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply.

This course provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to install and configure Windows 2003 Server to create file, print, web, and terminal servers. Administering Windows .XP Professional (Exam 70-270)
Discover the advantages of the newest Microsoft operating system. Students will install, upgrade, and image using the sysprep for imaging systems, use Windows Setup Manager for automatic installations, and use Remote Installation Service (RIS). Topics include configuring .XP hardware and systems settings, managing users and groups, existing with NT 4 Domains and 2000 Active Directory, .XP disk management and file systems, securing Windows .XP, and managing users remotely. Active Directory Windows 2003 (Exam 70-217)
This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure and administer Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory Services. This course also focuses on implementing Group Policy and understanding Group Policy tasks required to centrally manage users and computers. Administering a .NET Server (Exam 70-275)
Microsoft .NET Server offers a comprehensive range of solutions for building and integrated and flexible business infrastructure. Topics include building and deploying integrated business processes, integrating file and print services with high reliability, efficient management and support of networking services. Networking Infrastructure (Exam 70-216)
This course is for new-to-product support professionals who will be responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and supporting a network infrastructure that uses the Microsoft Windows 2003 Server products. Topics include installing or upgrading to Microsoft Windows 2003, configuring the Windows 2003 environment, providing access to resources by configuring user accounts, managing access to resources by using groups, and configuring disks and partitions. Prerequisites: Basic networking experience, strong background in Windows 2003 or .XP, or comparable experience. Textbook required.

Managing a Windows 2003 Network Environment (Exam 70-218)
Managing a Windows 2003 Network Environment is a pivotal course as the exam 70-218 not only counts toward the MCSA Windows 2003 certification, but is also an elective toward the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. Topics include creating, configuring, managing, securing, and trouble-shooting file, printer web resources and network infrastructure. Students will learn to configure, manage, secure, and trouble shoot active directory organization units and group policies, configure TCP/IP, security, DHCP, and group policy objects. Windows 2003 Directory Services (Exam 70-219)
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design a Microsoft Windows 2003 directory services infrastructure in an enterprise network. Strategies are presents to assist the student in the information technology needs of an organization and then designing an Active Directory structure that meets those needs. Prerequisites: Basic networking experience, strong background in Windows 2003 or .XP, or comparable experience. Textbook required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waiver apply.

Designing Security for Windows (Exam 70-220)
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design a security framework for small, medium, and enterprise networks using Microsoft Windows 2003 technologies. This course contains four units that describe security in specific areas of the network: providing secure access to local network users, providing secure access to remote offices, providing secure access between private and public networks, and providing secure access to partners. Prerequisites: Basic networking experience, strong background in Windows 2003 or .XP, or comparable experience. Textbook required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply.

As an Information Technology (IT) professional, you have a choice of earning two different credentials to build upon your CompTIA Certifications and to highlight your Microsoft Windows 2003 or Windows .XP knowledge.
