Gourd Carving
Joppa Hall, Rm. 32

Put the creative side of your brain to work in this entertaining, crafty class. Follow Suzi Nonn through the process that turns a common gourd into a work of art. You will amaze yourself and others with what you can create. A small fee for gourds is due to the instructor at the first session.

Introduction to Computers
Joppa Hall, Rm. 007

Have you been wondering what computers are all about? This session is designed for the complete beginner and will gently nudge you into the computer age. Learn to use the mouse (it doesn't bite!), access programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and even take a short journey to the World Wide Web. No experience necessary!

Five Periods of Music History
Edgewood Hall, Rm. 219

This session covers the highlights of the five major periods in music history: The Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras. You will examine one or two of the most prominent composers in each era and consider how music changed and developed over the course of its written history. Featured composers will include William Byrd, J. S. Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and more.

 

The Book of Revelation
Edgewood Hall, Rm. 232

The class examines the Book of Revelation from a religious perspective. Join in a week of exploration of God's prophetic word as you discover the meaning of Bible prophecy and its importance today. Over one-third of the Bible is prophecy and many believe that some of the greatest events in human history have already been fulfilled. The Bible references 432 prophecies about Jesus Christ; 125 were fulfilled regard His First Coming and 329 are yet to be fulfilled concerning His Second Coming and His Kingdom on Earth. Bring a Bible and something to write with.

This popular software will get your creative juices flowing. Designed for the BEGINNING student interested in learning the basics. Intermediate students may be bored in this class and should sign up for the advanced class.
