The purpose of the Harford Community College Alumni and Friends Association is to serve the alumni through programs, benefits and services, and to involve the alumni in the promotion, advancement and support of the mission and goals of HCC.

The Alumni and Friends Association membership is free and is open to anyone who has taken a course at the College.

Commencement Rose Sale - Thursday, May 23, 2013 • 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Congratulate your favorite grad with a bouquet of roses! The Association is selling beautiful long-stem roses prior to the Commencement Ceremony in the APG Federal Credit Union Arena. Special thanks to Flowers by Bauers for donating the roses. All sale proceeds support the AFA Scholarship Fund.

Summer Deck Party at Ripken Stadium - Friday, July 12, 2013 • Game Time 7:05 p.m.

It's fireworks night at Ripken Stadium! Join the Alumni & Friends Association for our annual Summer Deck Party and watch the Aberdeen Ironbirds take on the State College Spikes.

Association Activities

The Association reconnects alumni with the college by supporting a variety of events and activities on campus:

Wine Expo 2013

More than 460 guests enjoyed an afternoon of fine wine, hors d'oeuvres and desserts, including a fabulous chocolate fountain from Bomboy's Home Made Candy. Presented by The Alumni and Friends Association and Wine World Beer & Spirits, the Expo is the Association's signature fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the Association's programs and scholarships.

Big Thanks For Giving Big! Nearly $800 Raised for Our Students

The Big Give was a one-day online giving event and the first of its kind for educational institutions in the country.

For 24 hours on November 14^th, Maryland's community colleges and their foundations worked together to raise friends and funds in support of our students and the growing demand for community college education.

Through the generosity of our alumni and friends, the HCC Foundation raised nearly $800 to support student scholarships and programs.

Opening Day at Ripken Stadium

A great time was had by all who joined the Alumni & Friends Association on the Party Deck at Ripken Stadium for the Aberdeen Ironbirds home opener against the Hudson Valley Renegades.    

How Can You Support HCC?

• Return to campus for College and cultural events
• Come cheer for your favorite Fighting Owls sports team
• Help students and alumni by listing career opportunities
• Share your personal and professional experiences with current students
• Contribute to the Harford Community College Foundation Annual Fund Drive
• Volunteer to assist with Association functions and events
• Work with the College's Outreach and Recruitment Programs to let others know how the College has helped you and how it can help them
• Notify the HCC Alumni and Friends Association of name or address changes
• Leave your mark on the Alumni Walkway
