“Shop to Earn”

Are you looking to purchase items for those special people on your holiday shopping list?  Do you shop via the Internet?  Now there is a way to help the Harford Community College Foundation (HCCF), Inc. earn funds while you shop.  Simply click on the “Shop to Earn” link below. 

More than a thousand national retailers participate in Shop to Earn.  Not only can you purchase merchandise, but you can also purchase gift certificates (often at a discounted price) for various businesses including restaurants.  You can still use any promotional codes for the websites you visit.  In fact, “Shop to Earn” lists promotional codes for participating retailers to help you find any applicable discounts or free shipping.

Do your Internet shopping through “Shop to Earn.”  It’s an easy way to get a good deal and support the Harford Community College Foundation at the same time.

Heather Hurd walk/run Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009

This walk/run, honoring former Harford Community College student, Heather Hurd, is intended to raise awareness of preventable highway fatalities and the tragedy they leave in their wake.

Wine Expo 2010 at HCC on February 21

“Wine Expo 2010,” hosted by Alumni and Friends Association of Harford Community College and Ronnie’s Fine Wine and Spirits, will be held on Sunday, February 21, from  3 to 6 p.m. in the College’s Susquehanna Center.  All proceeds will benefit the Alumni and Friends Association’s Scholarship Fund. 

Sponsorship and advertisement opportunities are available.

Suppliers representing many different wines for tasting will provide tips on serving, pricing, selecting the best vintage, and the proper pairing of wine and food.  It will be an afternoon of appetizing and delectable food, an array of alluring items for silent auction, and tastings of wine that will excite the palate to complete the festivities.  Each year, the HCC Wine Expo draws a sellout crowd of more than 500 people, so purchase tickets now.

Tickets for the wine tasting are $40 in advance.  Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.  Tickets can be purchased through the HCC Ticket Office, 443-412-2211 or through Ronnie’s Fine Wine and Spirits, 410-879-7964.  Sponsorship and advertisement opportunities are available.
