After You've Applied

The Admissions Office wants you to have a pleasant and supportive experience enrolling to HCC. Please note that students Under the Age of 16 and International Students and Non- U.S. Citizens have a unique application process.

To get started, let’s review the admissions process for all new students and those HCC students returning after a two-year absence:

1) Students can complete the Application for Admission  online, by mail or in-person at the Office of Admissions

2) Applications are reviewed by admissions staff, and based on academic program goal and application type, students may be asked to provide the following documents to the Admissions Office to complete their application, prior to registering for courses at HCC:
    a. An official high school transcript or GED transcript
    b. Official College Transcripts (issued within 1 year of the date of your application to HCC)

  • Students who have not completed College Level English or Math, or earned the SAT or ACT scores listed above, may be referred to the Test Center to complete the Academic Skills Assessment

    d. Documentation for verification of Residency

3) Once your application is complete, students will be mailed an acceptance letter with instructions to meet with an Admissions Staff member to assist you with the enrollment process (registration) to HCC.

4) Recent high school graduates will be required to complete an iPlan Session, which prepares students for a successful start at HCC, and provides personal assistance with their first registration for courses. Information regarding registering for an iPlan will be included with your acceptance letter.
