Assessment For Prior Learning
Earn College Credit For What You Already Know

Prior learning assessment is a means of obtaining college credit for knowledge gained on the job or through individual study. Students at HCC can earn as many as 30 credits by examination or a combination of examination and portfolio assessment. To learn more click here.

A Variety of Learning Options
HCC has something for you!

Harford Community College offers a variety of scheduling formats for busy adults. Flexible scheduling options include online and hybrid courses as well as compressed format classes. Compressed courses are offered in an intensive format over a shorter period of time than the traditional 15-week semester. They are designed for students with busy lives and are scheduled for 5 to 10 weeks or on weekends.
