Constitution Day 2017Local historian David Fisher brings the First Public Printer of the United States Benjamin Franklin to life. Learn about Dr. Franklin’s many inventions and his discoveries about electricity and other areas of science.

Chautauqua 2017: Voices from the Great War

LOCATION: Chesapeake Theater at HCC

FREE, family-friendly living history performance. W.E.B. Du Bois, sociologist, scholar and one of the most important African American activists of the early twentieth-century, will be portrayed by Bill Grimmette, a living history interpreter, storyteller, actor, and motivational speaker who has also appeared as Martin Luther King, Jr., Frederick Douglass, and Benjamin Banneker. Pre-show performance by Benny Russell and Colleen Webster.
