Learning Assessment Committee

The Learning Assessment Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Council.

It is a faculty-led, inclusive body that provides guidance, assistance, and resources for all learning outcomes assessment activities at HCC.  The LAC also serves in an advisory role to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and makes recommendations to Faculty Council.


Mission

To affirm and improve student learning by providing the information, communication, and support needed by faculty to foster excellence in teaching, courses, and programs through
learning assessment.

LAC Activities and Events

Moving Learning Assessment Forward - TWO LAC members will host a Rubric Building Workshop and TK20 Tutorial for the BSS division in October.

Fall Faculty Professional Development Events - LAC members recently actively participated in the campus-wide Faculty Professional Development day in  August.  Presenting in Day 2 Plenary were the LAC Co-chairs with two committee members outlining LAC work and TK20 implementation progress.
