The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), serves as an umbrella organization to coordinate professional development activities and training for all who are engaged in the teaching and learning process at HCC. CETL is intentionally designed to be a hub both digitally and physically for innovation, collaboration, and learning transformation through a variety of events and resources in order to

  • Create faculty teaching and learning communities of practice
  • Celebrate innovation in instruction and scholarship
  • Provide resources, facilities and technology to foster experimentation
  • Offer opportunities for faculty to gain additional knowledge and hone skills related to technology and pedagogy

Information about the Center is located on the instruction tab in OwlNet. If you have questions or comments, or would like to become involved in the CETL development discussions, please contact Dr. Karen Rege at or 443.413.2145.

The eLearning team is also available for instructional design and technology assistance for both adjunct and full-time faculty. If you have questions or would like to schedule an individual consultation, contact us at
