About the Vice President

Deborah CruiseDr. Cruise studied at Corning Community College, earning the A.S. degree, and successfully transferred to Utica College of Syracuse University in Utica, New York, earning the B.S. degree in Psychology/Child Development. She earned her M.S. degree in Education and Psychology from Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Dr. Cruise moved from New York State to Texas to enroll in the Community College Leadership Program at the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Ph.D. in Educational Administration with an emphasis on Community College Leadership.

In addition to her work at Harford Community College, Dr. Cruise is an active Accreditation Evaluation Team Member for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, is a graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy, serves on the Military Affairs Committee as a member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Board of Directors of the Harford County Local Management Board, represents HCC on the Harford Business Roundtable for Education Executive Committee, and serves as the Vice President on the SARC (The Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center) Board of Directors. Dr. Cruise lives with her family near Havre de Grace, MD.
