Harford’s Cybersecurity degree program has been redesignated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. The new designation covers academic years 2014-2020.

It prepares students to enter the high demand field of information systems security as trained professionals who protect data and equipment from internal and external security threats. Students gain hands-on experience with the latest hardware and software.

Certification training is also available through Harford's Continuing Education division in Cybersecurity. Courses offered include preparation classes in A+, Network+, Fundamentals of Network Security (Security+)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).
