Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is a comprehensive health care facility located in beautiful, historic Havre de Grace. For more than 40 years, this non-profit has been committed to providing every resident with love, respect and the best personal care possible.
Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center had pledged $35,000 to name the Nursing Assistant Training Lab in the newly constructed Darlington Hall, home of the College’s nursing and allied health programs. The funds will be used to establish the Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center Scholarship for Harford students enrolled in the Nursing Assistant Program.
Peter Panos, Administrator for Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center, said, “Citizens hires graduates of the Nursing Assistant Program offered at Harford Community College. We find these students to be well-trained and prepared to provide the level of care we value at our facility. Establishing the scholarship is our way of supporting this effective training program for the good of the students enrolled and the community we serve.”
“Harford Community College students are fortunate to have solid supporters like Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center,” said Kathy Archer, MSN-Ed, RN, Director of Allied Health Programs at Harford Community College. “Receiving the financial support to cover tuition, fees and costs associated with the program makes it possible for our nursing assistant students to focus on their studies and training. This opportunity is invaluable for our students.”
