Finance and Operations

The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Operations is committed to providing excellent, inventive, and responsive services to the HCC community. 

Finance and Operations is responsible for planning, development, and management of the fiscal, administrative, infrastructure, and operational functions of the College. 

Functional Units

APGFCU Arena

This world class arena is home to HCC's Fighting Owls.  The arena features: 2,500 permanent seats with 700 additional seats available for concerts, graduations, and staged events; innovative lighting and sound; and 18,000 SF of hardward flooring.

Athletics

HCC has approximately 200 student athletes participating in 14 sports and is a member of Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA).

Capital Projects

Capital Projects is responsible for planning and developing the College's properties and facilities.

College Store

The College Store is your source for textbooks, study aids, art and office supplies, computer software, and convenience items and is located in the lower level of the Student Center.

Copy Center

The HCC Copy Center provides duplication and printing services for the campus. It is located on the lower level of the Student Center.

Computing & Technology Services (CTS)

CTS provides technology support in internet services, networking, telecommunictions. microcomputer hardware and software support for all academic and admininstrative computer users on campus.

Dining Services

Dining Services supports the college community through the Globe Cafe, Joppa Cafe, APGFCU Arena and catering services.

Distribution Services

Distribution Services is responsible for campus mail delivery, courier services, vending services and more.

Environmental and Occupational Health

This office is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the various environmental and occupation health and safety programs that promote safe and healthful conditions for students, employees, and visitors.

Events Management

Events Management is the central point of contact for internal and off-campus customers wishing to hold conferences and meeting events at HCC, excluding the APGFCU Arena.

Facilities Maintenance

Facilites Maintenance serves the college community through the maintenance of its facilities and grounds and 24/7 operation of the heating and cooling plants.

Finance and Accounting

Finance and Accounting provides College oversight in relation of the budget, accounting services, financial reporting, fixed assets, student accounts, cash management, and administrative support for the College's auxillary enterprises.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is responsible for rountine cleaning of the College's facilities to ensure an environment that supports learning.

Procurement

The Procurement department ensures compliance with college and state policy and procedures in procuring goods and services for HCC and is responsible for the adminstration of contracts and purchase orders.

Public Safety

Public Safety has the primary responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, students, and visitors to the College on a 24/7 basis.  443-412-2272
