College Planning: Saving and Early Planning for Higher Education

This course provides ideas on how to save for college when your children are still young. Topics will include types of investment vehicles (i.e. 529 plans, UTMAs, Coverdell IRAs), cost of college, and types of schools (trade school vs. traditional college vs. combination two years at community college/two years at four-year college). We will also address the time value of money and the effect of inflation on higher education costs. This course is designed for expecting parents and parents with young children. Tuition: $29. Homebuying Basics

Thinking about buying your own home? This course will provide you with the knowledge of how the home buying process works and how to get to the settlement table with as little stress as possible. Topics will include everything from making your "wish list" to conducting your final walk-through.

Medicare Planning for Baby Boomers

When you turn 65, the federal government gives you a birthday present: entrée into the brave new world of Medicare. This course will address Medicare basics, such as how and when to enroll, and help you navigate safely past potentially costly traps. Retirement Realities for Baby Boomers

This two-session class is for Baby Boomers facing the challenge of how to successfully make it to, and through, retirement. It will focus on how best to utilize two of the most valuable retirement tools: Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and employer-sponsored retirement plans (such as 401(k), 403(b), and TSP). This class will also address the most important rules of the road for maximizing these benefits. Participants will enjoy a healthy, honest, and frank discussion on how to create savvy strategies for accumulating and spending these assets in order to enhance financial, physical, and emotional peace in your golden years. Wills, Estates and Trusts

Learn the basics of what should be contained in your Last Will and Testament, what other legal documents are essential, and how trusts can play an important part in your estate plan.
