Jenny Towner

Jennie Towner, Harford Community College Director for Student Success, is one of 10 educators selected for the 2018 Outstanding First-Year Student Advocate Award from the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience & Students in Transition and Cengage Learning. The award winners were chosen from 115 nominations for their outstanding work on behalf of first-year students and for their impact on the students and culture of their institutions.

Towner and the others will be recognized in The Chronicle of Higher Education, E-Source for College Transition, and at the 37th Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience that will be held in San Antonio, Texas on February 10.

“We thank Jennie for all that she has done and continues to do for our students and the College. We are extremely proud of her, and we are fortunate to have her as part of Harford Community College. This is the 29th year that the National Resource Center and Cengage Learning have honored college faculty, administrators, staff, and students.
