Honor your favorite alum as part of the College’s rich history and tradition! Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 award; deadline is February 28.

Alumni are an important part of Harford Community College’s rich history and tradition, and to celebrate their accomplishments, the College annually awards a Distinguished Alumni Award. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 award.

The award was established in 2014 to honor the achievements of former HCC students. It recognizes an alumnus who has excelled in the following areas:

  • Outstanding success and distinction in their chosen field/profession
  • Commitment to the community and charitable outreach
  • Continued interest in and service to Harford Community College

The award will be presented during the College’s commencement ceremony on May 24, 2018.

To be considered, the applicant must be an alumnus, having taken a course at the College. Self-nominations and posthumous applications will also be considered. The nominee must commit, at the time of the application submission, to attend the College’s commencement ceremony. The deadline for submission is February 28, 2018.

Previous winners are Patricia A. Thompson, DNP, RN; Chuck Boyle; Ann B. Ramsay; and Charles H. Jacobs, Jr. (shown above).
