Get ready to take the computerized GED® test with new GED® Preparation software and official practice tests at Harford Community College. Then, take the test at the College’s new Pearson Vue Testing Center located in Edgewood Hall, Room 165, beginning in July 2014.

Students who enroll in GED® classes at HCC are well prepared to pass the GED® exam through high quality instruction and access to instructional technology, including the GED Ready™ Official Practice Test and Aztec Software’s GED® prep solution. HCC students will have the opportunity to take the GED Ready™ Official Practice Test, the only practice test designed to assess how students will do on the 2014 GED® test. GED Ready™ has the same look and feel as the official GED® test, and gives students firsthand experience answering computer-based test questions. The score report tells students if they are likely to pass, or if it’s too close to call and they should keep studying. GED Ready™ is synced to instruction and gives every student their own targeted study plan based on the skills he or she needs to study.

HCC students also have access to Aztec Software’s GED® prep solution, which allows students to conveniently learn the core competencies of the new GED® test in an online environment. The Aztec software gives students an idea of what the test will be like, helps them to identify areas that need improvement by giving immediate feedback, and helps them gain computer literacy skills. The multisensory approach of audio, graphics, and interactive screen design reinforces and enhances learning and provides plenty of practice with the skills needed to pass the GED®.

Once students are prepared, GED® instructors can assist with registering to take the GED® test, available in the Pearson Vue Testing Center located in Edgewood Hall, Rm. 165, beginning in July 2014.
