In support of February as both American Heart Month and National Boost Your Self-Esteem Month, the theme for Harford Community College’s New Visions for Women Conference is Pink: The Color of Love. The event will be held on Saturday, February 16, from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM at HCC’s Edgewood Hall. Join local women in celebration of hope, love, and creativity with presentations, workshops, fun, food, and fellowship. Dress is casual.  (Pink is encouraged!)

The keynote speaker, Mimi Dietrich, is a nationally recognized quilting instructor and author of 16 popular quilting books.  She is also a breast cancer survivor and founding member of the Village Quilters and the Baltimore Applique Society.  She will share a trunk show of her quilts and their themes of friendship, hope, creativity, love, and care.

Workshops include The Women of the Supreme Court, Yoga Nidra, Secrets to Keeping Your Heart Healthy, Pretty in Pink, Gardening, Scrapbooking, Self-Defense, Beadazzled, and Health Information Technology/Health Care Reform.

Pre-registration is required through Harford Community College. The $39 fee includes continental breakfast, light lunch, and workshops.  View the brochure (PDF) or call 443-412-2176 for registration information.
