The Future Interior Designers Organization is a student group that has been featured in
various
publications for their work with the annual Decorators Showcase. Some students
have won awards and
scholarships at industry-sponsored design competitions.
Students are sought after to serve as interns in local design firms in a variety of job-related
applications. Graduates excel at four-year
institutions and in the workplace because they
are well trained in the basics of design. Many HCC graduates are employed in architectural
and interior design firms throughout the Baltimore-Washington area.
Several graduates have launched their own successful design firms.
