Computing & Technology Services (CTS) provides technology support
in Internet services, networking, telecommunications, microcomputer hardware and software
support for all academic and administrative computer users on campus.
Technical Support
If your computer keyboard malfunctions, or your hard drive crashes, chances are the help desk will send a CTS
technician to take care of you. CTS technicians install software, upgrade computers, troubleshoot hardware and
software problems and can offer some software applications support. If you need a CTS technician to look at your
computer, fill out a Track IT! work order request.
Troubleshooting
The Computing & Technology Services site will maintain an
index of fix-it-yourself topics covering a broad range of technically related issues.
Questions ranging from your browser to GroupWise errors are addressed in this helpful
online reference. Before calling the Help Desk Action Line, please click
here to consult this index and
you may be able to solve the problem on your own.
Campus Help Desk (Help Line)
Help is available by filling out a Campus Work Order Request or by calling the
help line at 443-412-2000, extension 2477. Individuals can open their own Work Order
Requests by clicking on the WORK ORDER REQUEST icon which is installed on every academic and
administrative desktop. Simply double click on the icon and enter details of your request
and work requirements. See Helpdesk for

Classroom and Lab Support Services
CTS provides technical support for the technology involved in the classroom and
computer lab environment.
CTS lab technicians maintain classroom Internet connectivity, teaching station
computer hardware and software. CTS technicians maintain over 1000 academic computers in 25
lab/classrooms in 19 buildings.

Telecommunications Services
Telecommunications Services maintains all campus telephones, pay phones and the
campus private branch exchange (PBX). They are also responsible for adding, moving and changing
telephones and telephone services on campus. Departments and divisions are billed for telecommunications
services through the INFOCALL CALL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM. For more information, see Telecommunications.
