Cooking

Bake and Take  
Have fun making fast treats to take along for a hike or to the pool. Learn to make cookies in a funnel, brownies with a punch, and mini cupcakes to decorate and share with others. Let the teacher know at the first class if you have any allergies. (Additional forms required.) Participants must wear closed-toe shoes.

Learn how to plan, budget, organize shopping, and then prepare food for yourself and your friends. We will make layered club “sammies”, one-sided burgers, salad with a flare, and much more! Learn how to make snacks that are different and taste amazing! Teen Chefs: The Art of Cooking  
Cook up savory dishes and desserts from scratch that are fun, fresh, and flavorful. This cooking class is highly recommended for teens with culinary interest. Learn a variety of cooking methods including sauteing, pan-searing, and braising, to name a few. Topics include kitchen safety, basic knife skills, nutrition, menu plan, selecting ingredients, and measurement.
