At least one year previous dance training is required. Dancers will study an expansion of ballet fundamentals including elementary barre and center work. Attire: Black leotard, pink footed tights, pink leather ballet shoes, and no skirts. Hair must be pulled neatly back into a bun. No jewelry.

| Ballet II |
Students should have a minimum of 3 years previous ballet training. The focus remains on body alignment and ballet fundamentals while developing increasingly complex barre, center, and traveling combinations to increase student's performance and technical ability. Class is executed to classical music. Attire: Black leotard, pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes, and no skirts. Hair must be pulled back neatly into a bun. No jewelry. It is highly recommended that students who are performing in The Nutcracker or wish to in the future attend both Ballet 2 classes.

| Creative Movement |
This fun first dance class for boys and girls focuses on developing body awareness through stretching, rhythmic, and creative exercises. Emphasis is on experiencing the joy of moving to music while developing movement fundamentals. No previous dance experience is required. Parents will be invited to a special visitation day. We request that parents do not remain in the classroom during dance classes (with the exception of "mommy & me" classes). However, parents should remain close by in case they are needed. Children may wear leotard, tights, and ballet slippers; or t-shirt, sweatpants, and bare feet to class.

Children will stretch their imaginations as well as their toes as they dance their way through a storybook collage of fairy tales. Children will explore elements of creative movement, modern, ballet, tap, and jazz and construct simple costumes and props in a daily craft activity. Look forward to an enchanting dance presentation for family and friends. Attire: Solid color leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers, tap shoes (or hard-soled shoes). Bring a snack and drink daily.

Students will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop, proper body alignment, isolations, rhythm and spatial awareness. Focus will be on traditional styles of hip-hop as well as theatre and lyrical styles of hip-hop dance. Classes will consist of warm-ups, "across the floor" excercises, and combinations. The students will learn a dance that they will perform for their parents during the last class. Attire: Fitted clothing that allows for movement, sneakers, and hair in a ponytail. No jeans.
