Sewing/Needlework
| Sewing for Beginners |
Learn to operate your machine like a pro! Using your personal sewing machine, learn skills that will help you master the basics. Learn to select a pattern and material that is appropriate for your sewing project, how to measure material and layout the pattern, and basic sewing construction skills. You will combine these skills to make pajama pants, a practical, yet fun, beginning project. Bring your sewing machine, extension cord, scissors, thread, test fabric and paper, and pencil to the first session. A supply list of additional supplies will be provided in class.

Recycle your old, favorite T-shirts along with their great memories into a cozy quilt and enjoy them for years to come. Beginning-level sewing skills required (mostly straight stitching). Email lsturgill@harford.edu for a list of supplies.
