Computer Training for Reentry Women
The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing
The Reentry Women certificate
recognizes the student's achievement in gaining knowledge in using Windows,
Word, Excel, and the Internet for business and personal applications. To
receive the Reentry Women Series Certificate, a student must complete four core
courses and one online course. After successfully completing the four
classroom courses and the one online course call 443-412-2033 to
receive your Computer Training for the Reentry Women Certificate. The
following steps need to be followed to receive your certificate.

| Starting Over |
This course is designed for women who are reentering the workforce, want to advance to a higher position, or change careers. Although the unexpected or the need to start again can sap energy, warp thinking, and kill ambition, you can gather the wind in your sails and chart a new course with confidence. Beginning with the Starting Over workshop, women will gain ideas, concepts, and insights for turning their career goals into a reality. This is the first course in the Reentry Women series of courses. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply. Transcript available.

This course is designed for the woman who is planning to reenter the workplace and needs to update her skills to become more employable. An introduction to both Windows and Microsoft Word is covered. Unravel the mystery of where files go after saving them. Learn to save, locate, and reuse files as well as understand the role folders play in storing files. Topics include file management tasks such as copying, moving, renaming, deleting, restoring, and finding files. Don't be confused any longer by the filing system on your computer! This class does not teach the basics of Windows. Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Windows. Textbook and USB Flash Drive required. This is the third course in the Reentry Women series of courses. | Excel for Reentry Women |
This course is for the reentry woman who wants to increase her employability by adding Excel skills to her resume. Learn about creating workbooks, functions, charts, databases, and templates. Topics include creating, formatting, and printing worksheets; working with formulas and functions; setting up simple databases; creating templates; and creating charts.
