| Certified Information Systems Security Professional |
CISSP Certification was designed to recognize mastery of an international standard for information security and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). Certification can enhance a professional's career and provide added IS credibility. This test preparation course covers the following ten CISSP information systems security test domains relevant to the corresponding professional certification exam: access control systems and methodology; applications and systems development; business continuity planning; cryptography; law, investigation and ethics; operations security; physical security; security architecture and models; security management practices; and telecommunications, network and internet security. Completion of this course better positions participants to become a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). This certification is one of the requirements of the DoD 8570 directive. Prerequisites: Significant IT security experience and prior certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE or SCNP are recommended. Textbooks required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply. Transcript available.
