| Healthcare Provider CPR |
This course is designed for medical care providers and provides instruction for CPR (one- and two-rescuer) and relief of choking for the adult, child, and infant victim. Topics include the use of airway devices like the bag valve mask and various pocket masks. All participants must be able to kneel on the floor beside a manikin for extended periods of time. There is a 25-question test with a passing score of 84% required. The required text is the AHA Healthcare Provider Book and should be purchased and read prior to class. | Pharmacy Technician Hospital & Retail Externship I |
An externship in which you perform daily pharmacy technician tasks consisting of 160 hours at local area hospital and retail pharmacies is required to complete this course. This is the first of two 80-hour courses designed to complete that requirement. Externship eligibility may be dependent upon a criminal background check and drug testing. Students with criminal records should check with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board at www.ptcb.org to determine eligibility for certification. Pharmacy Technician Training Theory and Externship hours must be completed successfully during the timeframe indicated to receive a certificate. Student externship hours must include a minimum of 20 hours per week scheduled individually with each student. Prerequisite: Pharmacy Technician Training Theory. Lab jacket required as a uniform.
