Advanced PowerPoint  
This course is designed for students who have previously used Microsoft PowerPoint and are comfortable with its basic features and techniques. Students will expand their knowledge with the advanced features of the software. Topics include working with charts, updating a linked Excel worksheet, creating custom tables, designing and formatting SmartArt, inserting animation and sound, using macros, inserting hyperlinks, using templates and adding comments, creating a custom show, packaging a presentation, and creating a photo album. Prerequisite: PowerPoint 2010 QuickStart or PowerPoint 2010 experience. Textbook and USB Flash Drive required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply. Transcript available.

PowerPoint QuickStart  
Create imaginative and spectacular PowerPoint presentations using Clip Art, animation, sound effects, web collaboration, and hyperlinks. Topics include layout and design; creating a summary slide; inserting and formatting pictures; pulling clips from the web; inserting and modifying objects; manipulating and grouping objects; using WordArt; combining presentations; creating and formatting tables; creating custom slide shows; inserting comments; linking Excel charts to presentations; creating overhead transparencies and 35mm slides; printing slides, speaker notes, and handouts; and preparing on-screen presentations.
