Institutional Review Board
In order to assure federal and state compliance regarding
research involving human subjects, the College has established an
Institutional Review Board (IRB) and secured approval from the US Dept of
Health and Human Services. The role of the IRB is to review proposed
research projects that involve the use of human subjects, ensure that
individuals involved in the project are treated ethically and that all
private information will be handled with confidentiality. Faculty,
staff and community members comprise the Board. Bill Ekey is the Chair
of the Board.
Institutional Review Board Membership List
The HCC IRB Charter defines the operational guidelines and defines the type
of research and projects that require IRB review.
