Benefits

Harford Community College provides a total compensation package which includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits program for its eligible full-time employees*.  The benefits program helps to enhance employee morale and productivity and helps to attract and retain quality personnel. 

Health-Related Benefits

The College offers health-related benefits on a shared participation basis, with the College contributing approximately 85% of premium costs.  A flexible spending account (FSA) option is also available to employees.  All health-related benefits are offered on a pre-tax basis.

Life and Disability

Life insurance and long-term disability insurance are provided for all eligible employees and are 100% employer-paid.

  • Life Insurance (1.5 times annual salary)

  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (1.5 times annual salary)

  • Long-term Disability (60% of monthly salary up to maximum limit)

Retirement Savings

The College offers a variety of retirement savings options including 403(b), 457(b), and state retirement system participation to its eligible employees.  Certain employees may also be eligible for optional retirement plan participation.
