Staring Salary Range: $32,665 - $37,565

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support to library operations in a fully-automated environment.  Duties include, but are not limited to, receiving and processing new acquisitions in a variety of formats; creating reports; cataloging library materials by reviewing and editing and/or creating bibliographic entries in the Polaris online system; receiving and processing College archives; processing reserve reading lists for faculty; assuring copyright and other standards of compliance; digitizing and creating metadata for archives and other materials; maintaining statistics; processing inter-library loan requests; staffing the circulation desk; training and overseeing the work of hourly staff, student workers and volunteers as assigned;  and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

This is a non-exempt staff position. 

REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and three years of related experience required; at least one year of library experience preferred.  Applicants must have knowledge of library practices and procedures; knowledge of computer software, including Polaris, OCLC, Internet, MS Word and MS Excel; relevant national standards, including MARC 21, AACR2, Library of Congress Subject Heading, DACS, EAD, and Dublin Core; and excellent communication skills.
