Testing Assistant
(Part-time)
Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $10.98 - $12.63 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HCC is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to provide support in the College's Test Center.  Duties include, but are not limited to, daily preparation of computerized testing; checking in examinees; administering and proctoring computerized and paper tests, quizzes, and exams; maintaining test security; answering telephone inquiries; using the computer for data entry and information retrieval; maintaining files and records; and troubleshooting minor computer problems. 

Work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, with hours assigned between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Hours during the summer and between semesters may be reduced.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree and related experience preferred.  Customer service experience and computer proficiency with Windows 2003 or higher, Microsoft Office 2007 or higher, e-mail, and Internet navigation ability also required.  A brief test of Windows and Internet proficiency is required prior to interview.  Preference will be given to those with experience in educational testing.  Applicants must have flexibility in scheduling.
