Starting Salary Range:  $38,562 - $46,274

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Network and Systems Specialist manages and administers the comprehensive backup system of the College's enterprise systems using NetVault.  Other responsibilities include the e-mail system, file system, web servers, portal systems, server system states, database system states, database systems, and other critical servers that have administrative and academic implications. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Computing and Technology Services Network and Telecommunication Systems staff in the setup, configuration, management, and monitoring of critical systems; monitoring wireless access points; restoring files and folders; managing infrastructure for digital signage; managing data center operations; documenting processes and setup procedures for all areas of responsibility, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Three to five years of experience working with backup systems and server operating systems are required, including comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the NetVault backup system, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2, and Unix/Linux.  Associate's degree is required.  Equivalent education, training, and/or experience may be considered.  Applicants must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
