RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive all Food Stamp Employment Training (FSET) registrations; manage database to track customer registration, participation, and outcomes; notify and schedule customers for mandatory activities; monitor customer attendance and compliance with program requirements; enter data in the Dept. of Social Services (DSS) automated reporting system; conduct conciliation interviews and apply good cause criteria; apply individual sanctions; issue notices of adverse action and close Food Stamp cases when needed; submit monthly reports; and represent the DSS in any disputes and fair hearings conducted by the office of administrative hearings. 

This is a full-time, grant-funded position which includes limited funds for benefits.  Work hours are generally Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the WAGE Connection in Aberdeen, MD.  Schedule may include evening and occasional weekend hours as assigned by the supervisor. 
 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with governmental assistance programs or experience working with the public in a support role may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis.  Experience maintaining database records and computer proficiency in a Windows-based PC environment required; experience in MS Access and Excel preferred.
