Submission Policy

Submissions are reviewed for solo and group exhibitions by the Chesapeake Gallery Committee. There are no fixed deadlines or submission fees. Please allow up to 12 weeks for review of your materials. While we are conscientious about receiving materials, we cannot be responsible for any lost items. After preliminary review by the committee, individuals will be contacted about the current feasibility of their submission. All submissions being considered for scheduling will then be explored in greater detail, including studio visits, where possible.

Please include the following with your submission:

  • Artist statement and resume.
  • Up to 10 images by slides or CD. All images must be of work available for exhibition.
  • A list of images submitted, including dimensions.
  • Slides labeled to correspond with the list of images.
  • CD labeled with the artist's name and any necessary instructions for viewing.
  • SASE to return slides.

Mail the above to:

Gallery Layout

This is the layout of the space at the Chesapeake Gallery at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. Notice that one set of doors needs to be able to open into the space and there are two pillars (represented by black boxes) that can make it difficult to view or place work on those walls (though not impossible, by any means.)
