Amoss Center
The Amoss Center opened in May 2000. Named in honor of Senator
William H. Amoss, Harford Community College alumnus and lifelong friend
to the College, the theater addresses the cultural requirements of a
rapidly growing community with eclectic interests.
The 908-seat performing arts center
serves the needs of both Harford Community College and Harford Technical
High School through a partnership with Harford County Public Schools. It
provides a venue for general assemblies for the high school and for
varied presentations sponsored by the College, including children's
theater, ballet, orchestral concerts, recitals, operettas and other
expressions of human artistry. The 10,000 square-foot seating area also
serves as a complex for affordable educational, cultural, social and
community activities.
