What is Server+ certification?
CompTIA says, Security + certification validates knowledge of
communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography,
operational security, and general security concepts. It is an
international, vendor-neutral certification that is taught at colleges,
universities and commercial training centers around the world.
Why should I get certified?
The demand for IT security professionals has grown
significantly and candidates as well as the industry have indicated that
a foundation-level certification for this job function is necessary.

How do I get Security+ certified?
The Security+ certification is awarded after successfully completing
the Security+ exam.

Community College.
Security+ Exam Requirements and Certificate
Upon completion of the training, the student can register for the
exam and take the exam. For more information on scheduling the exam, visit www.2test.com.
Certification is awarded for successful completion of the examination,
and not for completion of preparation course. There are no further
Scurity+ education requirements or exams once the student has become
certified.
What are the Prerequisites?
There are no pre-requisites for the Security+ exam. However, it is
recommended that you have A+ and Network+ certifications or equivalent
knowledge.
I'm still not sure the computer field is for me. What should I do?
Attend Computer Counseling Night held at the beginning of the
Fall Semester on the Harford Community College Campus. It's free to the
public. Computer training instructors will be there to speak with you
and help select the programs appropriate for you.
