Emergency Medical Technician

What are the prerequisites for this program?

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years old
  • HIPAA, Confidentiality, & Ethics (HIPA)*
  • Human Anatomy & Physiology (HAP)*
  • Medical Terminology (MTER)*
  • Math for Healthcare Careers (ACEA)*

*If you are comfortable with testing out of courses above contact the Test Center at 443-412-2352*
*If you do not have a GED or High school Diploma, please contact Adult Literacy at 443-412-2152*

The courses below for certification cannot be tested out of and must go in order:

  • EMT-B Modules

  • EMT-I Modules

  • EMT-P Modules

What textbooks are needed for the program?

All textbooks for CET classes are available in the college book store located in the Student Center.
