Mr. James B. Johnson, Jr. was selected for the Senior Executive Service in January 2007. Since April 2007 he is serving as Executive Director, U.S. Army Developmental Test Command, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. He is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on Army and Department of Defense developmental tests supporting over 300 weapon programs annually. He is also responsible for long-term strategic planning, Lean Six Sigma Deployment, and instrumentation and range viability to support test programs.

From January to April of 2007, Mr. Johnson was the Director of Test Management, U.S. Army Developmental Test Command, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland where he was responsible for day to day management of over 300 weapon programs annually. He performed direct customer interface; prepared test plans, reports, safety releases, and safety confirmations to support equipment fielding decisions.
