Ms. Huber was born in Baltimore, Maryland
and currently resides there today. Ms. Huber entered Federal
Service in August 1981 after enjoying a short but exciting career in the
travel industry and performing metallurgy for Bethlehem Steel at the
Sparrows Point Plant.
Prior to her appointment with the Army Contracting Agency, Northern
Region, Aberdeen Proving Ground, she held the position of the Deputy for
Small Business for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District
for 15 years. She was responsible for the small business program for a
five state area, as well as serving as the Small Business Specialist for
the Pentagon from 1990 - 1993.
She attended Essex Community College and Strayer University at the White
Marsh, Maryland campus. She is Level III Certified in Contracting.
Pat is currently the Chairperson for the Department of Defense Mid
Atlantic Regional Council for Small Business Education and Advocacy as
well as the Chairperson for the Protocol Committee. She maintains
membership of the National Contract Management Association and is a
member of the Minority College Relations Team at APG.
Her commendations include: FY06 Army Contracting Agency SADBU of the
Year Award; Commanders Award for Civilian Service from the US Army Corps
of Engineers, Baltimore District in Mar 05; the 1st Runner Up for the
Maryland Minority Small Business Advocate of the Year from the Small
Business Administration in 2001; and received an Outstanding Leadership
Award Promoting Small, Minority and Women Business Utilization from the
American Minority Contractors and Business Association Inc. for the
Baltimore/Washington area in 2000. |
